Method. getBlock with full transaction details over the last
8 slots, then meta.fee for every transaction. The base fee on an SVM chain is
5,000 lamports per signature; anything above that is a priority fee, and the split between the two
is the part marketing never shows.
Limitations, stated. 8 slots is a snapshot, not a census — a busy period would move the median. Fees only: rent-exempt deposits are not fees and are excluded. Reads only public RPC endpoints, so a period of RPC trouble shows as fewer blocks read, which the page reports rather than hides.
